Hello. My name is David and I drew Moonstone Orion Squad. You are thinking: 'Whoop-de-doo. Anyone can draw stupid stickmen!' And you are right, anyone can. That is what is so awesome about them. Even cavemen drew them and cavemen rock.
Moonstone started out on a piece of notebook paper in my best friend's bedroom. He possessed a real musical talent on the piano but, sadly, his social skills were not on par. His idea of a good time was to invite someone over to his smelly room and then show off on his keyboard for a few hours. It was so mind-numbingly dull that I picked up a piece of crumpled paper off his floor and drew a 9 panel cartoon that I titled Moonstone Orion Squad.
It was meant to be a parody of Manga. Those are Japanese comic books for the uninitiated (such as myself.) I had had very limited contact with Manga and found it to be utterly nonsensical. Therefore, Moonstone was as well. In that first attempt each panel had a completely different scene, plot, and character. It made absolutely no sense at all. The climax in the final panel was someone saying 'Bafu?' and being answered 'Mugu'.
But, both my friend and I found it hysterically amusing. We were also 20 year old virgins but I digress.
And that is where this site came from. The assumption that because you and your lame friends think something is cool that it needs to be put on the internet for everyone to acknowlege as cool.
So, yeah. Here are a few more kilobytes of BS to clutter up the servers of the world. Enjoy.
